It operates at a wavelength of 1310 nm and supports a transmission distance of up to 10 km over single-mode fiber. This module is designed for use in Gigabit Ethernet applications and is part of Cisco's family of bidirectional transceivers that enable communication over a single strand of fiber by separating transmission wavelengths.
