The Cisco IRM-1100-SPMI is an expansion module designed for the Cisco IR1101 Rugged Series Router. Its key features include:
1 Gigabit Ethernet (GE) SFP port
1 pluggable module slot
4 General Purpose Input/Output (GPIO) ports on a single Digital I/O connector
1 mSATA SSD slot for additional storage
The Digital I/O connector supports both dry and wet contacts up to 60 volts, with 4 GPIO connections plus 1 return connection. The module includes LEDs to indicate the status of digital I/O, SFP port, and mSATA activity. The Digital I/O functionality is supported on Cisco IOS-XE version 16.12.1 and above.
The IRM-1100-SPMI can be installed on either the Expansion Module (top) side or the Compute Module (bottom) side of the IR1101 router. However, when installed on the Compute side, the SFP port is non-functional, but the mSATA and GPIO pins remain supported. It is not supported to have IRM-1100-SPMI modules installed on both sides simultaneously.
This module supports pluggable LTE modules and provides versatile connectivity and expansion options for industrial IoT applications with the IR1101 router.
