The Cisco NIM-4MFT-T1/E1 is a 4-port Multi-flex Trunk (MFT) Voice and Clear-channel Data T1/E1 Network Interface Module designed for Cisco 4000 Series Integrated Services Routers (ISRs). It supports both T1 and E1 interfaces, providing voice and data capabilities on four ports simultaneously.

Voice and Data Support: Supports voice applications with onboard Cisco Packet Voice Digital Signal Processor Module 4 (PVDM4) required for voice features.
T1/E1 Support: Supports T1, fractional T1, E1, and fractional E1 for voice and WAN applications.
Drop-and-Insert Multiplexing: Integrated drop-and-insert multiplexing capability eliminates the need for external channel service units/data service units (CSUs/DSUs) and multiplexers.
Clocking: Each port can be clocked independently for data applications; voice ports are synchronized to a single clock source.
Compatibility: Supported on Cisco 4000 Series ISR platforms, including Cisco 4451, 4431, 4351, 4331, and 4321 routers.
LED Indicators: Front panel LEDs indicate port status, alarms, and enablement.
Applications: Ideal for PBX and public switched telephone network (PSTN) connectivity, mixed data and packet voice solutions, and analog cross-connect solutions.
Additional Details:
The module supports clear-channel data and voice but does not support channelized data or unstructured E1/G.703.
It requires Cisco IOS XE Software Release 3.9.1 or later for Cisco 4451-X ISRs and 3.13.1 or later for other platforms.
The module uses PVDM4 DSPs and is not compatible with older PVDM3 DSPs.
It simplifies branch-office connectivity by consolidating router, multiplexer, and DSU/CSU functions into a single device.
This module is part of Cisco's fourth-generation T1/E1 NIMs, offering improved port density and enhanced features over previous generations.
