Inventory quantities are subject to availability and are not guaranteed until the order is placed.

The QDD-400G-ZRP-S is a Cisco 400G Digital Coherent QSFP-DD optical module designed for high-capacity, long-distance transmission in DWDM C-band (196.1 THz to 191.3 THz) tunable optical networks. It supports wavelength-division multiplexing (WDM) functionality and can operate in both transponder and muxponder modes. This module complies with the OpenZR+ MSA standard and offers multiple configuration options including modulation schemes (QPSK, 8-QAM, 16-QAM), TX filter shaping, and baud rates, enabling transmission capacities of 200G, 300G, and 400G per wavelength. It features a high-performing O-FEC algorithm for extended reach and supports traffic configurations such as DAC rate, muxponder mode, modulation, and FEC parameters.
The QDD-400G-ZRP-S is supported on various Cisco fixed-port routers and line cards, including Cisco 8201, 8202, 8101-32FH, 8201-32FH, 8202-32FH-M, and line cards like 8800-LC-36FH and 88-LC0-36FH-M, with minimum IOS XR software releases ranging from 7.3.2 to 7.9.1 depending on the platform. It is not supported on 8102-64H fixed-port routers and is restricted from use on odd-numbered ports of certain routers and line cards.
The module supports advanced features such as optics and coherent DSP controllers for monitoring and configuring optical parameters (frequency, chromatic dispersion, transmitted output power, modulation) and network performance parameters (pre- and post-FEC bit-error rates, error corrected bits). It also supports firmware upgrades via Field Programmable Device (FPD) upgrades to ensure the latest fixes and features.
Due to higher power consumption, Cisco IOS XR software increases fan speeds to cool these modules. The QDD-400G-ZRP-S supports traffic configurations including new modulation and DAC rate options introduced in IOS XR Release 7.9.1, enhancing interoperability across network components.
