The Cisco SFP-10G-ER is a 10GBASE-ER SFP+ transceiver module designed for 10 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity over long-distance single-mode fiber links. Operating at a 1550nm wavelength, this module supports link spans up to 40 kilometers over standard SMF (G.652) with LC duplex connectors. It is designed for use in data center, enterprise wiring closet, and service provider transport applications, and is optically interoperable with 10GBASE XENPAK, X2, and XFP interfaces on the same link.
This remanufactured unit delivers the same reliable optical performance as new, having been professionally inspected, tested, and restored to meet Cisco quality standards. The module supports Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM) for real-time diagnostics of optical output power, input power, temperature, laser bias current, and transceiver supply voltage. Its hot-swappable design allows field installation and replacement without disrupting network operations, and its compact SFP+ form factor offers the highest port density per chassis.
